AI Opportunity Assessment: a half day on site, from $750.
Most owners know their team is losing hours somewhere. They do not know where, or whether the fix is AI, an automation, software, or a better process. The Opportunity Assessment answers that in one half day. We come to your shop, office, or clinic, watch how the work actually happens, rank what we find, and fix one thing before we leave. The workarounds your team stopped noticing years ago are usually the first thing we see.
On site along the Wasatch Front, from Ogden to Lehi. Over video for remote and distributed teams.
What happens during the half day
Roughly four hours, on your premises, during a normal working day.
-
First 30 minutes
With the owner. What is eating the week, what you have already tried, and what a good outcome looks like. We agree on who we will sit with.
-
Hour one
We sit with whoever does the bids, the invoices, or the scheduling and watch them do it. Not a demo. The real thing, with the real spreadsheet open.
-
Hour two
Two or three more short sit-downs with the people who do the work. This is where the double entry and the “we just always do it this way” steps show up.
-
Hour three
We sort what we found. Each item is matched to the right fix: a better process, an integration, an automation, an AI tool, or a small custom build. Then we rank by effort and payoff.
-
Last hour
We pick one quick win and implement it with you, live, so something is working before we pack up. We close with what we would do next and what we would skip.
-
Same day
We walk through the ranked findings memo with you before we pack up, then email a clean copy the same day. Short, ranked, and specific to your business. Nothing in it will surprise you. You were in the room.
What you walk away with
- A short findings memo ranking 3 to 5 opportunities by effort and payoff, each matched to the right fix
- One quick win implemented on the spot
- A straight answer on what to do next, and what to skip
The memo lists each opportunity, the hours at stake, the fix we would use, and whether to do it next or skip it. Here is a worked example, labelled as a hypothetical, so you know what to expect.
Who it is for
Owners of businesses with roughly 5 to 100 people who want a clear answer before committing to anything bigger. Contractors and trades, clinics, law and accounting offices, property managers, and other service businesses where the office work has grown around the real work.

A quick readiness check before you book
Twelve yes-or-no questions. Answer them honestly.
- Do you know, in hours per week, where your team’s time actually goes?
- Can you name the three tasks your team complains about most?
- Is your customer list in one place, not in three?
- Can you pull last month’s numbers (sales, jobs, hours) without building a spreadsheet by hand?
- Does information move between your systems without someone retyping it?
- Does every quote, invoice, and follow-up go out the same way no matter who sends it?
- Is there a written process for the work your business depends on most?
- Have you tried an AI tool on real work, not a demo, in the last six months?
- Did your team keep using the last new tool you paid for?
- Do you know which of your software subscriptions you still use?
- Is there one person on your team who could own a new tool after we leave?
- Have you decided what you would do with five extra hours a week?
If you said no to three or more, the half-day assessment is where we start. From $750, on site along the Wasatch Front.

What happens next
-
Stop here
The quick win was the big win, or the rest is not worth the money yet. We say so plainly.
-
Build the top items
An Implementation Sprint takes the top opportunities live in 2 to 6 weeks, at a fixed price quoted up front.
-
Train the team
If the tools are there and people are not using them, Team Training built around your real work is the better next step.
The assessment is a standalone price, not a deposit. See all services for how the rest is packaged.
Questions we get
Is this an AI readiness assessment?
Partly. We look at how work moves through your business, and AI is one of the fixes on the table. It is often not the first one. You leave knowing where AI fits and where it does not.
Do we need to prepare anything?
Not much. We send our one-page worksheet ahead of time. Fill it in if you can; if not, we figure it out on site. Please do not clean anything up before we arrive. The mess is the point. We need the owner for about an hour, two or three people willing to show us their normal day, and a corner to work from.
What if you find nothing worth doing?
You get the memo and the one quick win, and we tell you to stop there.
Do you come to us, or do we come to you?
We come to you. Travel is included anywhere in Salt Lake and Davis counties. Further out, we quote the travel cost before you book. Remote teams get the same half day over video.
